Abstract

The development of Christianity in Indonesia is growing rapidly, especially in metropolitan cities in Indonesia. One of them is Palembang City. With the development of followers of Christianity, places of worship must be considered because there can be an imbalance between Christians and places of worship to carry out worship activities and religious events. In the continuity of worship, the atmosphere of the church must be a concern in the design for the comfort of the congregation when worshiping. The atmosphere that will be presented in the church is a warm atmosphere. To achieve a warm atmosphere, there will be some architectural elements, lighting, and a little ornament that will be used in the design. In addition, the use of contemporary architecture will be used in the design as a form of building mass and give a modern impression that can add aesthetics and warmth to the church building.
