Abstract

The chronic kidney failure is a progressive and irreversible kidney malfunction that the body failed to maintain and to balance the fluid and electrolytes causing uremia. The main purpose of the research is to know about factors that effect the stress to the kidney failure patients who under hemodialysis therapy at hemodialysis room in Islamic Hospital RSI Siti Khadijah Palembang. The type of this research is quantitative and cross sectional research design conducted to 49 respondents as samples. Based on the results of anova one-way testing there is no relationship of age with stress on respondents who under hemodialysis therapy with p value 0.824. There's no relationship of family support with the stress on respondents who under hemodialysis with p value 0.150. There's no relationship between quality of life with the stress on the respondents who under hemodialysis with p value 0.611. There's no relationship of economic status with the stress on the respondents who under hemodialysis with p value 0.868. There's no relationship of therapy period with the stress on the respondents who under hemodialysis with p value 0.454. It's suppose to conduct further research to know about the factors related to the stress on chronic kidney failure patients who carrying hemodialysis with higher number of respondents and more specific criteria of the patients or conducting qualitative research.
