Abstract
The rapid growth of human population is directly impact of clean water and health. Clean water is urgently needed, while the hospital as a place of public service to human life. The clean water crisis became the global and Indonesian problems, one of the caused problem in water quality due to the potential pollution is hospital wastewater. Residual used of antibiotics in hospital wastewater is very dangerous because resistant and persistent. Indonesia does not have regulations antibiotic content in wastewater. Hospital wastewater treatment technology not designed to overcome the potential for antibiotic contamination. This study used a comparative analysis method too analyzes the relationship between secondary and primary data. This study was conducted using secondary data on the use of RS antibiotics in timeseries and will be correlated with primary data from laboratory analysis using the instrumentation LCQ TOF Mass Spectrometry Agilent 6540 through the screening process for the types of antibiotics contained in wastewater. The results showed there was potential for antibiotic contamination in hospital wastewater. The screening process founded 5 types of antibiotics namely Ciprofloxacin, Lincomycin, Metronidazole, Netilmicin, Ofloxacin / Levofloxacin. Antibiotic pollution is very dangerous when in public waters, so new regulations and wastewater treatment technologies are needed that can minimize these impacts.
