Abstract

PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang in the factory section Pusri NPK, there are 8 processes in making NPK fertilizer in which there are machines with their respective functions in the process, one of them is a machine that functions as a vacuum cleaner as well as an introduction to hot gas, namely a dryer fan machine, if there is damage to the machine, the factory will not operate automatically. In a day the NPK factory produces a range of 350 tons with a profit of Rp. 7.000 per kg. If this machine does not produce in a day, the company will incur a loss of IDR 245.000.000. In this machine the repair process is the longest compared to the damage that has happened before with a period of 10 days. Based on these problems, it is necessary to do an analysis with the fishbone chart method to find the cause of machine damage and get corrective action and determine maintenance measures so that no further damage occurs. Then the advice given to reduce the possibility of damage is to immediately access cleaning (flushing water) for line suction cleaning, routine line suction cleaning during monthly cleaning, and have a coating coated impeller spare fan immediately.
