Abstract

Light Rattan workshop is a company that produces various kinds of rattan furniture. The resulting product dibengkel light rattan including rattan chairs and coffee table, wicker chairs and dining table, lounge chair and others in Palembang. During this production schedule of the company simply based on customer orders. So the leadership of the company set the order of the products produced in accordance with the schedule of customer orders. Scheduling in this study was performed by using the non-delay method is based on SPT (Short Processing Time). Non-delay schedule is a collection of real schedule where none of the machine is left idle at the same time if there are operations that require machine. Comparison of makespan of the company to the non delay the SPT rule. The results of the company's scheduling time is 15.25 hours by order of the Job 2, Job 4, Job 1, Job 3. While scheduling the processing time to the non delay was 13.48 hours of the order of the Job 3, Job 1, Job 4, Job 2. Comparison of the total labor costs is $ 953,125.00 while the company's labor costs by using non-delay with SPT rule is $ 842,500.00. Makespan savings guest chairs rattan products is short, long rattan guest chairs, wicker coffee table is short, and long rattan coffee table by the company with the non-delay scheduling method is 1.77 hours and total labor cost savings is $ 110,625.00.
