Abstract

Background: Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure of ≥140/90 mmHg, a chronic non-communicable disease (NCD) that is often asymptomatic. This condition can lead to complications such as stroke, heart failure, and kidney disorders. Risk factors include an unhealthy lifestyle, lack of physical activity, stress, as well as age and heredity. Physical exercise is one non-pharmacological therapy for lowering blood pressure. The recommended activity for hypertension sufferers is hypertension exercise for three days, lasting 30 minutes. Objective: The aim is to provide an intervention for implementing hypertension exercise to lower blood pressure. Method: The research method used was a descriptive case study approach, describing the cases of three patients with hypertension. Subjects were selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The intervention provided was hypertension exercise therapy for three days, lasting 30 minutes. Results: After the intervention of hypertension exercise for 3 days, each 30 minutes, a decrease in blood pressure was observed, as indicated by the blood pressure readings of respondents: Pre-150/80 mmHg, Post-140/75 mmHg. Pre-180/98 mmHg, Post-170/90 mmHg. Pre-156/80 mmHg, Post-148/72 mmHg. Recommendation: Respondents are expected to independently implement these hypertension exercise exercises to help lower their blood pressure. Keywords: Hypertension Exercise and Hypertension.
