Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and burnout on the turnover intention of frontline employees at private banks in Palembang City. A quantitative approach was used with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The sampling technique was carried out using non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. The research sample consisted of 135 frontline employees who worked at private banks in Palembang City and met the research criteria. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 25. The results showed that workload had a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, burnout had a positive and significant effect on turnover intention of frontline employees at private banks in Palembang City. The research findings showed that high levels of workload and burnout tend to increase employee turnover intention. The results of this study are expected to contribute to companies in managing workload and controlling burnout levels to reduce employee turnover intention.
