Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease with blood pressure ≥140/90 mmHg. Its prevalence continues to increase and many sufferers have not been diagnosed or controlled. A survey in RT 35 Lebung Jaya, Talang Betutu Village, Palembang, showed that 52% of residents had hypertension and most were unaware of their condition. This condition requires simple and easy-to-apply nonpharmacological interventions, such as the finger hold relaxation technique of the Jin Shin Jyutsu method that can help lower blood pressure. Objective: To analyze the decrease in blood pressure after the application of EBP Nursing finger palm relaxation therapy in hypertensive clients in Nursing Care. Methods: This scientific paper uses a case study design using finger handheld relaxation therapy. The number of respondents was 3 people, the intervention was carried out for 3 days with a time of 20 minutes. Results: The results of the application of finger grip relaxation therapy, which were obtained by the three respondents, showed a decrease in blood pressure after practicing finger grip relaxation for three consecutive days with an average decrease in systole blood pressure of 20.3 mmHg and diastole of 8.3 mmHg Conclusion: There was a decrease in blood pressure before and after finger hand relaxation.
