Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between coping strategies and social support with academic stress among part-time working students. This research employed a quantitative correlational approach. The participants consisted of 125 active university students who worked part-time, selected using incidental sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale instruments measuring academic stress, coping strategies, and social support. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation and multiple regression. The results showed a significant relationship between coping strategies and academic stress (r = 0.947; p < 0.05) and a significant relationship between social support and academic stress (r = 0.889; p < 0.05). Furthermore, coping strategies and social support simultaneously showed a significant relationship with academic stress (F = 536.272; p < 0.05) with a coefficient of determination of R² = 0.898, indicating that both variables contributed 89.8% to academic stress among part-time working students. Better coping strategies and higher social support were associated with lower levels of academic stress.
