Abstract
Background: Children are individuals who are within range of change, development starts from the age of 0-5 years. At this age children experience the growth process that is influenced by genetic factors, nutritional state of children as a reflection of nutrient adequacy is one of the important parameters for the value of the state of growth and development of children's physical and value of the state of health of children. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship of knowledge mother of processing foods with nutritional adequacy of children aged 3-5 years in kindergarten RA Sultan Mahmud Bandaruddin Talang Jambe Palembang. methods: this study uses quantitative research methods withdesign cross sectional andmethod, analytical surveyusingtechnique. purposive samplingLarge sample of as many as 81 respondents statistical analysis using Chi Squaretest. Results: The results of this study, thevalue p = 0.036 <0.05 thus indicates that there is a significant relationship between mother knowledge about the nutritional adequacy of the food processing with children aged 3-5 Years . Conclusion: in this study concluded that the mother's knowledge in food processing can improve the nutritional adequacy of children aged 3-5 years. bibliography: 13 (2006-2013)
