Abstract

Background : Teenagers is a period of transition into adulthood, where they begin to prepare themselves for adult life, including in the sexual aspects. Sexual behavior is that aims to attract the attention of the opposite sex. Factors that influence sexual behavior are physical biological changes, lack of parental influence, academic perspective. Purpose : This study aims to determine the factors associated with sexual behavior in adolescents in SMK Pembina 1 Palembang. Method : This research uses analytic survey method with cross sectional design, sampling using stratified random sampling technique and the sample consists of 117 respondents Result : The result of the research on univariate analysis was found that there were 108 (92,3%) of respondents which mostly had physical change, 83 (70,9%) of respondents majority of good parent influence, 90 (76,9%) respondents which mostly good average , And 74 (63.2%) of respondents who are mostly positive. The result of bivariate by using chi square test showed that there was correlation on parental influence variable with p value = 0,035 and there was correlation on variable of academic perspective with p value = 0,003, while for physical change variable got result no relation between physical change with sexual behavior In adolescents with p value = 1,000. It is suggested for School to increase the frequency of information about adolescent reproductive health including reproductive health knowledge and how to avoid sexual behavior in adolescents and cooperate with health education program in foundation foundation by conducting counseling or workshop on regular basis.
