Abstract

Palembang Contemporary Art Center is a container that accommodates all activities and art practices in the city of Palembang. The Center for Contemporary Art Palembang consists of several main functions, namely the theatre,art gallery, art studio, art house, library, café restaurant, multipurpose building, office building, and amphitheatre. All these functions are accommodated by three main building masses and one mass of supporting building. The planning of the Center for Contemporary Art Palembang provides benefits for artists who have difficulty in channeling their creativity and welcome everyone who wants to enjoy and experience the art, and foster the spirit in the art world. Palembang Contemporary Art Center can also be a new tourism tool for local and foreign communities. The theme applied in the design of the Center for Contemporary Art Palembang is “Expression of Plurality” by presenting contemporary modern architectural style.
