Abstract
Circumcision is a surgical procedure to open the foreskin or purpetium from the penis. Circumcision must be performed by health workers who have attended circumcision training and not all health workers can perform this procedure. Even though during the surgical procedure, anesthesia is given, the action still causes pain or discomfort in the child. Propeller blowing therapy is one of the nonpharmacological therapies that can be applied to children who experience pain. The purpose of this study was to look at the effectiveness of propeller blowing therapy to lower the scale of post circumcision pain in children. The design of this study is quantitative preexperimental pre and post intervention. The population in this study is children who have had circumcision performed. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Measurement of the pain scale using Wong Baker Face. Data were processed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank nonparametric test. The results showed that the p value < 0.05 (0.001). From the results of statistical tests, it can be concluded that propeller blowing therapy is effective for reducing the scale of pain in postcircumcision children. Based on the results of research on propeller blowing therapy can be applied to children who experience postcircumcision pain
