Abstract

PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk. is one of the companies engaged in the cement industry sector. The process of making cement itself before being sold is divided into 6 main processes, namely mining of limestone and clay, crushing, mixing of materials, burning to become clinker, grinding or refining and finally packing. Almost all of these six processes are carried out automatically except for the packing process. During the process of sending gypsum raw materials originating from outside the Palembang area, such as areas outside the city and abroad, this is what drives us to use freight transport services using barges to send goods to Palembang. Problems that occur when sending gypsum raw materials by ship are found. barges, supplying parties or as vendors do not have the means of transportation to send gypsum raw materials, this situation encourages obtaining barge transportation equipment to be uncertain, while the inventory has been calculated for safety stock, minimum inventory, maximum inventory.
