Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of social media tiktok on the social interaction of fifth grade students at the Frater Xaverius 2 Palembang Elementary School. This research is a quantitative research. The population in this study were fifth grade students at the Frater Xaverius 2 Palembang Elementary School. The sampling technique used was the proportional random sampling method with a total of 69 respondents who had previously been determined by the researcher using the slovin formula. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire. The type of data in this study is primary data collected directly by researchers from the results of the questionnaire. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive statistical analysis techniques, validity tests and reliability tests. Test the assumptions of this study using the normality test, heteroscedasticity test and multicollinearity test. Hypothesis testing is used by using the t test, f test and the coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that the influence of social media tiktok has a significant effect on the social interaction of fifth grade students at the Frater Xaverius 2 Palembang Elementary School.
