Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of family control on profitability and firm value in family firm. The method which is been used in this research is empirical study. Sample of this research are all manufacturing firm in BEI from 2012-2016 which is using purposive sampling to collect the data. With this method provide 480 manufacuring firm. Profitability is measured by using ROA and firm value is measured by using Tobin’s Q. In this research using control variabel which are size, growth, and leverage. In this research prove that family control has positive effect on profitability and has negative effect on firm value. Keywords : Family Control, Profitability, Firm Value, Size, Growth, Leverage
