Abstract

This study examines hypotheses that aim to test empirically that knowledge of capital, attitude, motivation, and risk perception has an influence on the interest in investing. The population of this study is all students of the Palembang city college. The sample in this study was determined by purposive sampling method which produced a sample of 100 respondents. Independent variables in the form of capital market knowledge, attitudes, motivation, and risk perception. While the dependent variable is investment interest. Data analysis techniques used to manage data are validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression test with t test hypothesis testing. The results showed that attitudes have a significant and positive influence on investment interests and motivation has a significant and positive influence on investment interest.
