Abstract

Background: Increased blood acid levels above 6 mg/dl for women and above 7 mg/dl for men. If these compounds accumulate in amounts above normal, they will trigger the formation of needle-like purine crystals. These crystals are in joint areas such as feet, knees, elbows and fingers, causing arthritis. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the results of examinations using POCT and the Enzymatic Method. Purpose: It is known whether there are differences in uric acid levels in the examination of the Poct Method and the Enzymatic Method Metode: This Research Uses Analytical Observational Methods. The research subjects used in this study were 10 Level 3 DIV students and 20 Level 4 Medical Laboratory Technology Faculty of Health Sciences Catholic University of Musi Charitas Palembang. Results: There are differences in the results of examining uric acid levels because the probability value of the P-value is 0.013 <0.05 meaning that Ha is accepted Conclusion: So it can be concluded from this statistical test that Ha is accepted Ho is rejected, this can be interpreted that there are differences in the results of the examination of the Enzymatic method and the POCT method Suggestion: Further research is recommended to use a larger number of samples, because the more samples used, the more reliable or accurate the level of confidence, and it is necessary to pay attention to the volume of samples taken
