Abstract
The sample used to check cholesterol levels is serum. Serum is obtained by centrifuging the blood collection tube. Vacutainer plain tube is used as a container for collection tube in clinical chemistry test and there is another tube, namely vacutainer serum separator tube which has a gel polymer in the tube. However, gel components can affect the concentration and instability of certain analytes. This study aims to determine differences in total cholesterol using vacutainer plain tube and vacutainer serum separator tube with chemistry analyzer.
