Abstract

Starting from the end of 2019, where the covid-19 virus outbreak emerged and became a terrifying figure for the people of Indonesia. Since the existence of this virus, the Indonesian government has imposed policies on all people in Indonesia, especially the city of Palembang by working and studying from home. Since then, the use of electricity has continued to increase from year to year which has an impact on natural resources is getting thinner. Not only that, the number of residents from year to year is constantly increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the number of residences to accommodate the community. With the increasing need for the number of housing, a plan and design of energy-efficient and smart home-based housing emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic in Palembang City by applying the theme of save energy and the concept of energy to accommodate the housing needs of the people of Palembang City. This planning and design itself is more towards the use of solar cells and wind turbines as sources of electrical energy, as well as the maximum use of natural light. Therefore, it is hoped that this housing planning and design can help meet the needs of housing and can reduce electricity use which has an impact on the depletion of natural resources in Indonesia.
