Abstract

This study aims to describe the characters, characterizations and plots in the fairy tales of the Bird's Nest Together and the Kind-hearted Cow. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out by document analysis and researcher triangulation. Through document analysis, researchers focus on analyzing characters, characterizations and plots in fairy tales. The results of the research and discussion can be in the form of stories that match the text of fable texts in class II bupetik books with basic Indonesian language competencies with kd 3.8 content. Exploring information from animal tales (fables) about the attitude of living in harmony from spoken and written texts with the aim of having fun. characters and characterizations as well as the plot in the story, the cow is kind-hearted, deer and cow, deer has an ignorant character, while the cow has a kind character, the plot is used forward, then the bird's nest with a loving character and the mother bird has a loving character and the chicks have an enthusiastic character used for forward flow. The researcher makes indicators to measure students' ability to understand the content of the story text, after making about the content of the story text, it can be said that the results of this study are in accordance with the basic competencies with febel texts. In both stories, it is in accordance with the intended basic competencies. Both stories tell the story of living in harmony.Keywords: Characters, Characterizations, plot, Basic Competencies.
