Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to test whether the intrinsic value and influence of parents can affect student intentions for a career in the field of taxation. The population in this study is a student accounting program that is or has taken a course on taxes in the city of Palembang. The sample is determined by using convenience sampling method with the number of samples of 110 students domiciled in Palembang City. Data collection method used is to spread the questionnaire. Hypothesis testing using multiple regression analysis method with the help of SPSS program ver. 17. The results obtained showed that the intrinsic value and influence of parents have a positive effect on student intentions for a career in the field of taxation Keywords: intrinsic value, parental influence, student intention and career in taxation
