Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Financial Distress and Company Size to Earning Management. The population in this research is manufacturing company between 2008-2014 that registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This research using the sample companies by applying purposive sampling method in order to obtain 147 sample of manufacturing company that registered in Indonesia Stock Exhange during the observation period. This research uses SPSS Software version 16.0 as Data Analysis Technique, it consisting of descriptive statical test, normality test, multicorrelation test, heterokedasticity test, autocorrelation test, and finally with multiple regression analysis. The results of this research shows that: (1) Financial Distress hasn’t influence against Earning Management, (2) Company Size hasn’t influence against Earning Management.
