Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of investment knowledge, investment motivation, investment return, investment risk, investment benefits on the interest of the people of Palembang to invest in the capital market during the covid-19 pandemic. The data used are primary data. The population in this study was the people of Palembang city who already had stock accounts during the covid-19 pandemic. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method and 100 respondents were obtained. Hypothesis testing is done by multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that investment knowledge, investment motivation, investment risk, and investment benefits have a positive and significant impact on people's investment interest in the city of Palembang. However, the investment return variable has a negative and insignificant effect on the interest of the people of the city of Palembang to invest in the capital market during the COVID-19 pandemic.
