Abstract

PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang is a company that aims to implement and support government policies and programs in the fertilizer industry and other chemical industries, through production, trade, service delivery, and other businesses. In 2019, 2020 and 2021, several occupational safety and health problems occurred, namely work accidents experienced by employees, especially in the P-IB and P-III areas. This research begins with identifying work accidents so that accident prevention can be done using the Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) method. Based on the process of identifying hazards in P-IB and P-III specifically with the cause of the problem that employees did not use APD, 3 cases were found including not using gas masks, not wearing safety shoes, not using gloves. In the research that has been done, it was found that the level of risk of employees not using APD at PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang is quite high (50%). Therefore, it is necessary to propose improvements for cases of work accidents that occurred at PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang. Keywords : Hazop
