Abstract

Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a disease or metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia (increased levels of glucose in the blood) that occurs due to insulin resistance, insulin resistance can occur due to the insufficient number of insulin responders on the cell surface.The general purpose of this scientific paper is that the author is able to understand the theoretical concept in evaluating nursing care in Mrs. T. patients with Endocrine System Disorders: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 at the Francis Pavilion Room 4.3 Charitas Hospital KM 7. The specific objectives include: nurses are able to understand basic medical concepts, conduct assessments on Mrs. T., formulate nursing diagnoses, compile nursing plans, carry out nursing actions, and evaluate nursing care that has been done on Mrs. T. The writing of this scientific paper uses the case study method: interview, physical examination, observation for 2 days. After conducting the assessment, 3 nursing diagnoses were obtained, namely instability of blood glucose levels, nutritional deficits and activity intolerance, the patient went home forced. The conclusion that can be drawn from this scientific paper is that in Diagnosis 1: Instability of blood glucose levels associated with insulin resistance has not been resolved, patients go home forced. Diagnosis 2: Nutritional deficits associated with reluctance to eat, not resolved, patient forced home. Diagnosis 3: Activity intolerance associated with partially resolved weakness.
