Abstract
Efforts to increase crop production during the oil palm is still experiencing many obstacles, because every plant that grows surely be infected with the threat of pests and diseases as well as to plant oil palm. It is very disturbing growth, fertility, and produksifitas of oil palm plantations, and also very detrimental to farmers because of the lack of crop oil. Therefore, researchers are interested in making a diagnosis expert system application of pests and diseases in the palm with a certainty factor method, in which the system is intended to help farmers to handle the problems of pests and diseases that attack crops of oil palm based on symptoms experienced by oil palm plantations and obtaining the solution to handle to improve fertility, and produksifitas palm. In the design of diagnosis expert system of pests and diseases in oil palm, researchers using such tool is Macromedia Dreamweaver and Notepad ++ and other tools used in which there is AppServ Apache manage programming language PHP, MySQL to manage database addressable. With this system is expected to help farmers solve the problems that occur in the oil palm plant pests and diseases.
