Abstract
Mr. Athau's tofu industry is one of the industries engaged in the conventional tofu making industry. Mr. Athau's industry still uses cloth, scoops, and circular molds which are done standing by the four workers at the tofu packaging station. This can cause musculoskeletal complaints and workload experienced by workers. In this study, tofu output data was collected for 7 days, Nordic Body Map questionnaire, heart rate, and anthropometric data of workers. The tofu press and printer are designed based on appropriate technology methods with 6 parts, namely press turning lever, press cover, press table, mold cover, mold equipment, and container. And this tool was implemented on four workers and obtained an increase in productivity of 60.56% when using this tool and analyzed using a Nordic Body Map questionnaire, measuring workload by measuring heart rate. Based on the distribution of the Nordic Body Map questionnaire, there was a decrease in the neck by 25%, the shoulders decreased by 25%, the waist decreased by 25%. And the legs decreased complaints by 35%. And there is a decrease in the level of workload on one of the workers from a heavy workload to a medium workload.
