Abstract

Palembang is the capital of South Sumatra province, which is a region that is and will continue to experience rapid development in various fields of communication and information in this case is the post office. This makes many of the difficulties in this regard Palembang in knowing the location of the post office spread across the city of Palembang. Thus, it is necessary an information system that serves as a guide and to facilitate the citizens to know the location and information Palembang hospital in Palembang. So one of the ways that will be applied by researchers in providing solutions for the residents of Palembang is to implement "Application of Geographic Information System Web-based Post Office in Palembang". This application can not give information, ask questions in Palembang and the way the post office. in making this application, researchers used the waterfall model of system development methodologies, software development UML (Unified Modeling Language), as well as the PHP programming language and MySQL database. This application is expected to help citizens, especially the searching of Palembang in the post office and the post office profile information easily, accurately, and quickly.
