Abstract

Background:The self-concept is defined as a person’s beliefs, views, or judgment of himself. The early concept is divided into negatif self-concept and positive self-concept. A person with a negative early concept will experience disinterest in life and see himself as a wortless individual. With a negative sel-concept will also make a person stressed and experience a decrease in immunity, even increasing the risk of suicide. Purpose: The research aims to indetify the deskriptive of self concept during the Covid-19 pandemic in RT 03 RW 01 Sukarami Village, Palembang City Methods : This study used a quantitative decriptive design with a crosssectional design. The population in this study was 125. The sample was 62 people using purposive sampling technique according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The questionnaire consists of 15 questions from self-concept. This research was conducted in Sukarami Village, Sukarami District, Palembang City Results: All of respondents are in middle adulthood as many as 39 people (62.9%), and the majority of respondents are female as many as 49 people (79.0%), the type of work of respondents is mostly housewive as many as 35 people (56.5%), most of people in RT 03 RW 01 have a positive self-concept as many as 58 people (93.5%).
