Abstract
Background: Coronavirus is a virus that can cause illnesses ranging from mild to severe symptoms. The main route of the spread of the coronavirus occurs through respiratory particles and is known to be transmitted directly by individuals. The impact of Covid-19 has made working mothers have a dual role for their children because mothers have to teach children to learn online so that children have to go to work. The use of masks for children aged 6-12 years is significant because 70% of Covid-19 transmission is through droplets. The use of masks on children who come to work causes feelings such as tightness and stuffiness. Purpose: This research is to find out the mother's statement regarding the experience of working mothers in bringing children to go to work using masks during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Methods: This research used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data obtained by interviewing 3 participants who met the inclusion criteria. The sample used was purposive sampling, and the analysis used in this research was descriptive qualitative analysis. Results: Found 1) Reasons for working mothers, 2) Mother's perception of wearing masks during the covid-19 pandemic, 3) Reasons for mothers bringing children to work, 4) Obstacles encountered by mothers when attending children using masks, 5) Impact of using masks according to mothers at work, 6) Mother's efforts in overcoming obstacles that arose regarding the use of masks, 7) Mother's efforts when children did not want to use masks at work. Suggestion: The results of this research are expected to inspire mothers who bring their children to work when wearing masks by giving them the freedom to choose the character and color of the masks they want so that children still feel comfortable and still want to use masks.
