Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meneliti pengaruh yang diakibatkan oleh adanya right issue terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Pertanyaan yang diajukan adalah apakah setelah terjadi right issue kinerja keuangan perusahaan menjadi lebih baik atau justru menjadi lebih buruk. Kinerja keuangan perusahaan diproxy dengan lima rasio yang dikelompokkan ke dalam empat jenis rasio, yakni rasio likuiditas, rasio aktivitas, rasio leverage, dan rasio profitabilitas. Dalam penelitian ini diporel sample 12 perusahaan, dengan melakukan pengamatan periode tahun 2005-2007, dengan menggunakan window satu tahun sebelum dan sesudah right issue. Seluruh data yang dikumpulkan akan diuji melalui pengujian hipotesis. Pada tahap pertama dilakukan uji normalitas untuk melihat apakah data normal atau tidak. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji beda. Semua Hipotesis yang ada akan diuji menggunakan uji t untuk 2 sampel berpasangan (Paired Sample T test). Dari pengujian yang telah dilakukan, tidak terdapat perbedaan pada kinerja perusahaan dalam bentuk likuiditas, leverage, aktivitas dan profitabilitas sesudah melakukan right issue.
