Abstract
Background: Menopause is a condition or condition characterized by stopping menstrual cycles that occur in women with an average age of 51 years. Menopause that occurs on both psychological and physical effects such as increased levels of cholesterol in the blood due to the reduced estrogen hormone due to menopause. Cholesterol levels that increase in the blood will trigger various diseases such as heart disease and arteriosclerosis. The purpose of the activity is to provide an important understanding of cholesterol levels to prevent coronary heart disease (CHD). The method of implementation is through counseling and checking cholesterol in the blood. Results: based on a questionnaire given by residents strongly agreed with the activities and the results of the examination 60.74% cholesterol levels in the blood had increased. Conclusions and recommendations: residents understand the importance of checking cholesterol levels in the blood for residents who have increased cholesterol levels to pay attention to nutritional intake and if there are complaints immediately go to a doctor of internal medicine
