Abstract

Health is a precious thing for human because everyone can experience health problems, especially in children. A child has an immune system that has not been fully formed so it is susceptible to disease attacks. ISPA (Acute Respiratory Infections) is an acute inflammation of the upper and lower respiratory tract caused by infection with microorganisms, bacteria or viruses. ISPA is a disease that common in children. In the development of technology in the health sector there is a system that capable of solving problems like human called expert system. This expert system uses the forward chaining method to determine the disease by seeing the symptoms experienced by the child. The rapid influence of technology can help parents to diagnose ISPA diseases in children, one of them with the use of android that can provide information anywhere and anytime. The test results show that application of expert system is effective in diagnosing ISPA disease in children by 90%.
