Abstract
The increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chatbots among college students as a learning support tool has become a phenomenon of interest, particularly in relation to students' learning motivation and digital literacy. This study aimed to examine the relationship between the frequency of AI Chatbot use and learning motivation and digital literacy among college students. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design involving 122 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) and the Academic Digital Literacy Scale (ADLS), and were analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation. The results showed a significant positive relationship between the frequency of AI Chatbot use and learning motivation (ρ = 0.321; p < 0.05), with a weak correlation strength, and digital literacy (ρ = 0.428; p < 0.05), with a moderate correlation strength. These findings indicate a positive relationship between the frequency of AI Chatbot use and students' learning motivation and digital literacy. Students who use AI Chatbots more frequently tend to have higher learning motivation and better digital literacy levels. Therefore, AI Chatbots have the potential to serve as a supportive resource in the learning process of college students.
