Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between work-life balance and work stress among employees of X factory. The study employs a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The population consists of permanent employees at the X factory, while the sample comprises 103 employees selected using purposive sampling, based on the criteria of being aged 20–45 and holding permanent employment status. Data collection was conducted using work-life balance and work stress scales based on the Likert scale model. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test with the aid of SPSS version 25 software. The results indicate a very strong relationship between work-life balance and work stress among X factory employees, with a correlation coefficient of 0.897 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Consequently, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. The findings demonstrate a very strong link between work-life balance and employee work stress. This study is expected to serve as a consideration for the company regarding the balance between employees' work and personal lives, as well as strategies for managing work stress.
