Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of workload and work stress on the performance of private senior high school teachers in Palembang City. The study focuses on teachers who work in private senior high schools in Palembang City and face various job demands, both in teaching activities and administrative responsibilities. The data used in this study were primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents. The population of this study consisted of all private senior high school teachers in Palembang City. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling, resulting in a total of 102 respondents. Hypothesis testing was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that workload has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance in private senior high schools in Palembang City. Meanwhile, work stress has a negative and significant effect on teacher performance in private senior high schools in Palembang City
