Abstract
Sukomoro Village is one of the rapidly developing areas in Banyuasin Regency. Along with this growth, the need for recreational space has emerged as an urgent issue, as most residents of Sukomoro believe that the number of available tourist destinations remains inadequate. Sukomoro has natural resource potential that has not been optimally utilized, creating a significant opportunity to develop an environment-based tourism destination. In response to this issue, an integrated nature tourism area is proposed as a new concept for creating a nature-oriented attraction. The butterfly concept is applied to the building form and site layout through a metaphorical architectural approach, while also supporting the theme of rebirth with nature in shaping the visitor experience within a natural setting, integrated with a Biophilic approach. Through this integrated nature tourism area, Sukomoro is expected to gain an environmentally friendly tourism destination that functions as a space for recreation, education, and social interaction, supporting sustainable development and enhancing Sukomoro’s attractiveness as a tourism destination at regional and national levels.
