Abstract

This study aims to understand the experiences of wives who survived domestic violence after separating from their partners. This research used a qualitative approach with Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), involving two participants who were interviewed in depth. The findings show that life after separation is a complex and challenging process. Survivors face various difficulties, including emotional struggles, social changes, and economic challenges that require continuous adjustment. In this process, they try to rebuild their lives through self-reflection, decision-making, and finding meaning from their past experiences. Resilience does not appear instantly but develops gradually through life experiences, social support, and self-acceptance. The post-separation experience is not only about leaving a violent relationship but also about rebuilding a more meaningful life. This study highlights that survivors have the capacity to recover and move forward, even though the process takes time and involves many challenges.
