Abstract

The current development of digital technology is marked by the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is capable of performing various human tasks, one of which is creating works of art that are considered to threaten jobs in the creative industry, which is predicted to experience a decline of around 15% in the next 5 years due to AI. This situation has caused career insecurity among creative industry workers, as the presence of AI is considered a threat to their future careers, necessitating career adaptability. This study aims to determine the relationship between career adaptability and career insecurity among creative industry workers in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). This study uses a correlational quantitative method with a sample size of 210 people. The results show that there is a negative relationship between career adaptability and career insecurity among creative industry workers in the era of artificial intelligence, with a Pearson correlation score of -0.149, which is classified as very low due to the external challenges faced by creative industry workers. Future research is expected to use other variables and compare more specific sample results. Creative industry workers are expected to understand the systematics of copyright protection and strengthen the emotional value and story in their artwork.
