Abstract

Background: : The number of women experiencing menopause worldwide in 2030 is estimated to increase to 1.2 billion. In 2025, the number of premenopausal and menopausal women is estimated to reach 1.2 billion worldwide, with an average age of 40 to 50 years. During menopause, women experience physical and psychological changes. Common psychological changes during menopause include depression, fatigue, lack of motivation, insomnia, or difficulty sleeping. Sleep deprivation can have negative effects on physical and mental health and may sometimes lead to cognitive problems. Purpose: To determine the application of yoga to improve sleep quality in menopausal women Methods: The method used for nursing care for female clients with disturbed sleep quality through the application of yoga exercises to improve sleep quality in menopausal women was to use a one group pretest and posttest, whereby the group was given treatment after the pretest and observed again through a posttest, with no comparison group Results: The results of practising yoga for three days on menopausal women experiencing sleep disturbances showed that although sleep disturbances were still felt, there were changes compared to before practising yoga. Conclusion: Practicing yoga can improve the quality of sleep in menopausal women if done regularly
