Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of Good Corporate Governance on the financial performance of banking companies in Indonesia. The population used in this study were banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the period 2020-2024. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, and a sample size of 123 samples was obtained. The data source used in this study was secondary data obtained from financial reports. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results obtained from this study indicate that managerial ownership and institutional ownership have a negative effect on financial performance, while the independent board of commissioners variable has no effect on financial performance.
