Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of green banking and operational cost efficiency on profitability in the Indonesian banking sector. The data used are secondary data, with a population consisting of the banking sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2024 period. The research sample was determined using a purposive sampling method and obtained 30 banks with a total of 171 observations. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results show that green banking has a positive and significant effect on banking profitability, while operational cost efficiency has a negative and significant effect on banking profitability. Based on these findings, the banking sector is advised to strengthen the implementation of sustainability principles and improve operational efficiency to support long-term profitability.
