Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the sentence writing ability of grade III students in Indonesian language learning at SD Xaverius 9 Palembang. This study is a study that uses a qualitative descriptive approach method. This study uses data collection techniques starting from interviews, documentation and observation. The subjects in this study were grade III students at SD Xaverius 9 Palembang. The results of the study showed that the average value of class III was 70, the results of students showed that the ability to write capital letters and final punctuation marks at the end of sentences was 7% or 2 students got a score of 100. 23% or 7 students got a score of 85. 13% or 4 students got a score of 95. 10% or 3 students got a score of 75 and 90. 3% or 1 student got a score of 65. 3% or 1 student got a score of 60. 7% or 2 students got a score of 45. 3% or 1 student got a score of 40. 3% or 1 student got a score of 35. 3% or 1 student got a score of 30. 3% or 1 student got a score of 20. 3% or 1 student got a score of 15. 3% or 1 student got a score of 10. 3% or 1 student The student got a score of 5. The researcher concluded that there were still inaccuracies in the use of capital letters and punctuation by grade III students.
