Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the project based learning model on students' learning outcomes in mathematics subjects on the area and circumference of flat shapes in Grade IV of SD Xaverius 3 Palembang. The method used is quantitative research with the True Experimental Design approach. The subjects of the study consisted of two classes, namely class IVA as the experimental class and class IVB as the control class. The experimental class used the project based learning model and the control class used the conventional learning model. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, documentation, and observation. The data analysis technique in this study used the non-parametric Mann Whitney U test statistical test with the SPSS application. The results showed that the Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.000 < 0.05. Because there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of class IVA and IVB, it can be said that "there is an influence of the project based learning model on student learning outcomes in mathematics". It can be concluded that H1 is accepted, indicating that the project-based learning model has an impact on students' learning outcomes in mathematics.
