Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in abnormal returns and trading volume activity before and after the announcement of the victory of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka by focusing on companies included in the LQ45 index. The data used in this study is secondary data. The population in this study are companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique in this study uses purposive sampling technique and has been determined to use companies in the LQ45 index. Hypothesis testing is done using the paired sample t-test or the Wilcoxon signed ranked test. The results of this study showed that there were no significant differences in abnormal returns and trading volume activity before and after the announcement of the victory of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair.
