Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of Good Corporate Governance on the Financial Performance of banking companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study were banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique as many as 125 samples. The data source in this study is secondary data obtained from financial statements. Then in this study the data analysis technique used was multiple linear analysis. The results obtained in this study indicate that the managerial ownership variable has a negative effect on financial performance. Institutional ownership has a negative effect on financial performance. The independent board of commissioners variable has no effect on financial performance.
