Abstract
CV Tanah Mas Palembang produces 600-900 paving blocks per day with damage or failure of 30-50 pieces or more due to various factors such as lack of machine maintenance and human error. This research uses descriptive methods and SQC (Statistical Quality Control) to investigate the level of damage to paving blocks. The analysis results show that defective products are still within control, but the points on the p control chart graph still fluctuate and occur repeatedly. This shows that the production process is still facing deviations. Factors causing damage include lack of machine maintenance and human error. Companies must make quality improvements in order to be able to drink damaged products. Humans lack precision and focus in the production process, which is an additional cause. People, machines, materials and work methods are the main causes of instability in the quality of paving block production, according to the analysis carried out. From the data taken after the repairs were carried out, there was a decrease in the number of defective products every day and accumulated over 28 working days there was a decrease of 59% of defective products, this proves that there was an increase in production quality at CV Tanah Mas Palembang where the company can have more profit than before.
