Abstract
The Belimo Food Industry factory is engaged in the production of crackers and kemplang under the Belimo brand. In the observations made, there was still a buildup or occurrence of Bottlenecks in the packing process section of the press machine which was not yet optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research to improve performance and reduce process waiting times. The method used in this research is the Simulation method using Arena software so that it can provide the best solution that can optimize the performance of process waiting times at packing workstations. The results of the research show that the repair scenario can minimize the process waiting time, with the initial condition that there is buildup with a process time of 58,273 minutes, in the condition of repair scenario 1 the process waiting time is 26,830 minutes, it is able to reduce the process time by 60%, in the condition of repair scenario 2 the time a process wait of 14,562 minutes can reduce the process wait time by 80% and in the condition of improvement scenario 3 the process wait time of 12,483 minutes can reduce the process time by 85%. The results of the BEP decision analysis for scenario 1 were selected by adding 1 press machine to 2 press machines which can increase production capacity by 128 products and reduce overtime costs incurred by the company for 1.5 hours by Rp. 40,500.
