Abstract

This research develops a monitoring system for water quality and water level at irrigation gates based on the Internet of Things (IoT) in Line 8 Muara Telang. Irrigation is important for agricultural productivity, but efficiency and water quality are still a challenge. This system detects water pH and salinity levels and water level in real-time using pH sensors, Ultrasonic sensors and TDS sensors integrated with IoT technology. Programming using C++ ensures optimal and efficient performance. This technology monitors irrigation water conditions effectively, improving crop yield and quality. Water condition information can be accessed by farmers through smartphones, facilitating decision-making in irrigation management. This research emphasizes the importance of modern technology in agriculture for farmers' welfare and food security. Testing using the blackbox method shows that the system functions well in detecting and controlling water quality and height, providing accurate data. The system can be applied to various scales of agriculture, improving irrigation efficiency and supporting agricultural sustainability in Muara Telang.
